Carlsbad, CA – family vacation

As exhausted as I am (and trying to mentally prepare for work tomorrow), this trip turned out great. We didn’t get to everything on the schedule because we swapped out activities for other, more appealing options, but that’s the whole fun of trips anyway! Here are some of my favorite shots from the trip.

We went to so many different types of places on this trip. It was such a full experience!

Here are a few highlights:

-Beverly Hills

-The Green Dragon Tavern and Museum (my favorite part of the trip)

-Double Peak Park

-Watching the Giants in the World Series

-Seeing our uncle’s reenlistment ceremony

-The Making of Music Museum

-California Surf Museum (where we saw Bethany Hamilton’s shark-bitten surfboard)

-a coastline drive

-surfing, body-surfing, and boogie boarding

-wading out 100+ yards into the ocean (the tide was exceptionally low) and playing in the waves

This trip was MUCH, much needed and enjoyed. Our family doesn’t often go for week long vacations without some type of work or service involved, since my dad is self-employed. This time, he didn’t even have to take a phone call. If that’s not a successful trip, I don’t know what is. 🙂
